Porto sign Uruguay prodigy

Portuguese champions FC Porto have signed 21-year-old Uruguay right-back Jorge Fucile from Montevideo-based Liverpool FC.

The two clubs have not revealed details of the transfer fee or the player's contract. Twice an international, he made 29 appearances for his club last season, scoring twice. Fucile, who will wear the No13 shirt at Porto, said he was "thrilled with the experience" of spending time at the Estádio do Dragão - a "fabulous" arena.
